Tasting Note: Production 19,031 bottles, the biggest in recent years, yield 27.15hl/ha. According to Aubert de Villaine the grapes missed full maturity by three to four days. Medium-deep, trying to mature; crisp, lean, firm fruit, complete, silky-leathery tannins, great length, powerful finish. Plenty of tannin. At the St-Vivant vertical, Oct 2001 (****) M.B.
