Nusra Latif Qureshi, born in Lahore, Pakistan, studied the complex art of miniature painting at the National College of Arts, Lahore, including the traditional methods of preparing the pigments, paper and paintbrushes. Part of the pivotal exhibition karkhana, at the Aldrich Museum, CT which focused on contemporary collaborations and techniques in Miniature painting, Qureshi's work combines the sumptuous detail and intricate patterns of the technique while addressing modern subject matter.
