Egypt, Sinai and Palestine. Supplementary Volume. London: William Mackenzie, [1862]. 4° (435 x 308mm). 37 albumen prints (most c.160 x c.230mm). (Scattered spotting, mostly on guards and margins, some light creasing along lower margins.) Original green morocco backed cloth panelled in blind, spine gilt in compartments, titled in gilt in the second and on upper board, gilt edges (rebacked preserving original spine, extremities rubbed, cloth covers scuffed and lifting from upper board).

The fourth, supplementary volume in Frith's Egypt, Palestine and Nubia. Together the four volumes constitute the second, enlarged edition of the work originally published in two volumes in 1860. This supplementary volume is 'RARE. THE PRINTS IN THIS EDITION ARE OF MUCH STRONGER QUALITY THAN THOSE IN THE FIRST EDITION HAVING BEEN GOLD-TONED' (Gernsheim). Gernsheim Incunabula 195; cf.
