Cal. 12-120, with nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, metal dust cover, silvered matte dial with applied Breguet numerals and luminescent dots, subsidiary seconds, circular water-resistant-type case with down-turned lugs, screw back, case, dial and movement signed, the case further stamped FB (Taubert)

Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe box and an Extract from the Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1945 and its subsequent sale on January 10th, 1947. The extract further confirms that the watch was originally manufactured with both applied steel Breguet numerals and radium dots.

For further information on the reference 565 see lot 84.

To the best of our knowledge, the present watch has never before appeared at auction and represents one of approximately only 15 examples of the reference 565 with Breguet numerals known to the market.
