A Japanese shibayama style table cabinet, 19th Century
the ivory panelled cabinet with a central pair of opening doors revealing smaller drawers within and two drawers below, the panels decorated in coloured hiramakie lacquer with a warrior figure pulling his boat ashore from the waving ocean, further ivory panels with birds amongst foliage, the reverse with shaped inlaid tortoise shell with similar lacquered decoration - 14¾in. (37.5cm) high.
