A late 18th-Century lacquered-brass and silvered standing universal equinoctial ring dial,
possibly English, the meridian ring with quarter silvered and graduated for 0-90°, the equinoctial ring graduated twice on two surfaces (each silvered) for hours I-XII twice and 0-60 minutes within each hour, the bridge with silvered date scale with calendar months and subdivided in numbers for days on one side and zodiacal signs and subdivided for days according to signs on the other and sliding pin-gnomon, held within outer ring surmounted on base with two brass-mounted bubble levels and set on three levelling screws -- 21.5cm. (8½in.) diameter and 28cm. (11in.) high
