Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1979 and its subsequent sale on 19 September 1980.

It has never been offered in public before and is thought to be the first example of a reference 3856 in white gold to appear at auction. Production of this reference was launched in 1979.
