Cal. 2874 nickel-finished lever movement, 38 jewels, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers onto two gongs, the blue brushed dial with applied white gold baton and Arabic numerals, eccentric 30 minutes register to 3 o'clock, the three-armed one minute tourbillon carriage with monometallic balance combined with constants seconds, exposed through a glazed aperture, in large circular satined case with polished bezel, downturned lugs, glazed display snap on back, repeating slide and two round chronograph buttons in the band, 18K white gold Audemars Piguet deployant clasp depicting the letters AP, case, dial and movement signed

Accompanied by Audemars Piguet Certificat d'Authenticité et d'Exclusivité confirming that the present watch is part of a limited edition of five examples, Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie dated 6 July 1999, instruction manual. Further delivered with the original fitted veneered presentation box containing a gilt metal loop.

"Why simplify when you can make things more complicated?" The present watch beautifully exemplifies Audemars Piguet's motto when striving for new heights in the world of complicated timepieces. The combination of minute repeating, chronograph with register and one minute tourbillon regulator is certainly one of the most daring achievements in modern watch engineering. Made in only five examples for hand-selected amateurs of such complications, the present watch can be considered one of the most impressive contemporary collector's pieces.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch is the first example of this model to appear at auction to date.
