A RARE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL VASE, FANGHU
16TH CENTURY
In the shape of an archaic bronze prototype with flanges on the corners, enamelled on the sides with a variety of animals including a parrot, deer, a monkey and peacocks, inhabiting a forest of flowering trees and pine, below a band of kuilong around the shoulder and a band of stiff leaves around the neck, the foot with horses above waves
