SECOND EDITION OF THE 'OXFORD' EDITION, NUMBER 4 OF 20 SETS. Jeremy Wilson's edition of the text of the 1922 'Oxford' first edition, of which eight copies were printed; of these, one was destroyed, one was disbound into individual leaves (including those in the previous two lots), and four of the remaining six are in institutional collections. The first 20 sets of this edition were issued in a designer binding with a suite of proof plates, accompanied by Wilson's parallel text edition, in which the 'Oxford' and 'Subscriber's' editions are printed side-by-side, showing the evolution of the work.
