A Nepalese gilt bronze figure of the Green Tara, 17th/18th Century
seated in lalitasana on a shaped double lotus stand, her right foot resting on a lotus flower, her right hand resting on her knee in varada mudra, the gesture of charity, the left in vitarka mudra, the gesture of teaching, wearing ornate turquoise inlay beaded jewellery, a flowering utpala to her left shoulder, with a sectional gilt bronze rectangular base, the central freize decorated in relief with lions flanking a central triratna - 6in. (15.3cm) high.
