Harrington Mann (1864-1937) was born in Glasgow and began his career as a painter studying at the Slade school, before moving to Paris, where he was a pupil under Lefevre, then subsequently Italy. He returned to Glasgow where he worked from 1890 to 1900 with the 'Glasgow Boys' before settling in London. He is perhaps best known for his portraits in oil, landscapes and subject paintings, he also worked as an illustrator and stained glass window designer.
