Title in French and English in a banner at upper margin, lower margin with dedicatory arms and list of forces manning the guns. (The map mounted on old linen with marbled paper edging, two clean tears at right margin).
An attractive large plan of Gibraltar showing, in detail, the defences and disposition of the forces manning the guns. This is one of Cole's first published maps. Sold together with 5 other 18th century maps of Gibraltar comprising M.Seutter Andalusiae Castellum Gibraltar, [c.1730], hand-coloured; T.C.Lotter, Castellum Gibraltar, hand-coloured; Homann Heirs.
