The Christ Child in swaddling clothes at the lower left corner, attended by his Mother, the ass and ox bending over him, the exaggerated beam of the star that appears above, piercing the roof and reaching the Child, Joseph seated with his back turned to the event, the three Magi advancing from the right, the buildings of a city in the background referring to Bethlehem, framed as the scene in the previous lot, but instead of rosettes, having foliage in the upper corners
4 7/8 x 4 3/8 in. (11.75 x 11 cm)
This woodcarving comes apparently from the same group of decoration as the one in the previous lot.
