A RARE PAIR OF CLOISONNE ENAMEL PRICKET CANDLESTICKS
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

Each shallow dish finely enamelled on the interior with four yellow-ground ruyi-shaped cartouches enclosing blue chilong, evenly spaced around the central pricket, all amidst floral scrolls on a turquoise ground, the curved sides bordered with peony scrolls repeated on the exterior, and the base decorated with a further floral scroll bearing four lotus blooms encircling a gilt-bronze roundel incised with a Qianlong four-character mark
