Séraphin, provient du mot hébreu "Saraph" signifiant "brûlant", il s'agit d'un ange possédant six ailes, une paire pour se voiler la face par crainte de Dieu, une autre pour se couvrir les pieds et une pour voler. Les séraphins assistent l'homme dans la rectification de ses erreurs, leur action serait purificatrice, Pour des exemples similaires voir: J. Carswell et C.J.F.
