In the Pan-Slavic style, the bratina with fluted sides and supported on four fantasy bird feet, the rim enamelled with an inscription, the shaped circular stand on a stepped foot, the rim with four applied trompe-l'oeil embroidered lace cloths, with supports for the twelve glasses, each glass with an enamelled inscription and fitted with an engraved glass liner, the ladle with an enamelled inscription, each piece overall cloisonne enamelled on a textured ground, fully marked, the stand and base each stamped with exhibition marks and 'Made for Tiffany & Co.'

George Westinghouse (1846-1914) was a wealthy American entrepeneur who strongly supported the Industrial Revolution. He is best remembered for his inventions in the electrical fields, as he developed the braking system for trains.


Tiffany & Co had a selection of grand Russian Silver and enamel from 1893 onwards. It was very popular amongst the wealthy clientele and the demand for Russian productions increased steadily.
