The vendor, who worked on the production, acquired this hat after filming finished.

Sheriff J.W. Pepper first enounters James Bond [Roger Moore] whilst on a tourist trip with his wife on the Bangkok canals; Bond speeds past in his escape from Hai Fat's star Kung Fu pupil, Chula, spraying Pepper and his wife with water. Pepper becomes an unlikely ally in Bond's pursuit of Scaramanga in the famous car chase culminating in the 360 degree jump across the river.
