Lot Essay

In the dramatic pre-title sequence James Bond uses the PPK with the silencer attached; during the rest of the film he uses the gun without the silencer, notably when he visits Valentin Zukovsky's club in search of information about the Janus organisation. He pulls the gun on Zukovsky from behind, eliciting the comment...."Walther PPK 7.65mm, only three men I know use such a gun, I believe I've killed two of them".
