Mounted within a black-painted wrought-iron frame for ceiling suspension, each side with cast brass bezels to painted iron Roman convex dials, signed HALEY/London, blued steel spade hands, the single wire fusee movement with sub-assembly mounted to the back plate to drive rear dial, rear dial and bezel detached; pendulum, winding key
The clock -- 20½ in. (52 cm.) diameter, the frame 36 in. (92 cm.) wide, 37¾ in. (96 cm.) high overall
Provenance
Previously in the Portman Club, 9 Duke of York Street, London SW1. Acquired by the Royal Institute of International Affairs when it bought the premises in the 1940s.
