A George I ebonised striking table clock with quarter repeat

The case with brass handle to inverted bell top, silk-backed pierced frets above glazed side panels, matching quarter frets to the front door, the brass dial with coronet and sceptre spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour and diamond half quarter hour markers, matted centre with mock pendulum and date apertures, strike/silent lever above XII, signed on a silvered disc in the arch Chr:/Gould Little/Moore feilds/London, flanked by cherub supporters, original blued steel hands, the eight day movement with five pillars, twin wire fusees and reconverted verge escapement, hour strike on bell and quarter repeat on six bells (replaced), the back plate well engraved with leafy scrolls and strapwork within a chevron border, later seatboard; restorations to case; two case keys
