A GERMAN CARVED STAGHORN POWDER-FLASK
Circa 1570-80
With forked body of natural horn, the outer-face carved in relief with the figure of a gentleman attended by a lady, each in contemporary courtly dress, a winged putto mask above, plain iron mounts, the top fitted with cut-off with a moulded thumbpiece and moulded nozzle closed by a spring-loaded cap, belt hook, and a pair of rings at the sides.
