A RARE ITALIAN PRIMING-FLASK COMBINED WITH A WHEEL-LOCK SPANNER
Second quarter of the 17th Century
With rounded body swelling towards the base, covered in fishskin and reinforced by pairs of iron nodular bars carrying a small cap fitted with turnscrew blade, faceted iron top incorporating a pair of spanner sockets, tapering nozzle closed by a sprung cap, and with threaded iron nozzle plug formed with a loop for suspension.
