The bell top case with small brass handles, fluted pilasters to all angles, arched glazed side panels, on stepped and moulded plinth with bracket feet, the cut-away brass dial with Indian mask spandrels to Roman and Arabic chapter ring, mated centre with scroll engraving and with alarm-setting disc, original steel minute hand, later hour hand, silvered discs above for Alarum/Strike, signature J.
