The hood with screaming mask cresting above blind fret panelling, outset columns with brass Corinthian capitals, the trunk with astragal-glazed front door panel and plain glazed side panels, its angles with fluted half columns with screaming mask capitals and claw and ball bases, the plinth centred by a screaming mask and resting on carved bracket feet, with foliate spandrels to silvered chapter ring applied with brass Arabic numerals, the engraved centre with subsidiary seconds ring, strike/silent by 9, the arch with chime/silent disc, the eight day movement with dead beat escapement, with hour strike on tubular bell and quarter chimes on four tubular bells, stamped on the back plate GERMANY -- 107 in.
