MARK OF G. HERMELING, CIRCA 1900
Tapering cylindrical on three claw feet, the body chased and engraved with Prussian eagle displayed centred by a portrait bust within a laurel-wreath cartouche, and on the other side a swirling pendant, all on matted ground, the cover with an applied pierced foliate border and fish-scale engraving, surmounted by the German Imperial crown, chased and engraved on four sides with crests, marked on base
