Of oval form with a superstructure at the rear surmounted by a pierced gallery above four drawers and pigeon-holes between columns, with shaped gilt-tooled and brown leather-lined writing-surface within a green border containing classical urns and festoons of flowers and fruiting vine above a frieze drawer with classical ribbon-tied medallions on square tapering legs decorated with trailing husks, brass caps and castors, the drawers of the superstructure each numbered and with original handles, the frieze drawer with brass label stamped 'DRUCE & CO UPHOLSTERERS AND CABINETMAKERS BAKER STREET PORTMAN SQUARE LONDON. W.'
