A Japanese ivory okimono of a seated lady, 19th Century
finely carved with the long sleeves of her robe tied to her shoulders, her hair pinned up in an elaborate knot and her bare feet tucked underneath her, she looks down concentrating on peeling a round piece of fruit, signed to base - 5¾in. (14.6cm.) high.
