FOUR JAPANESE IMARI BALUSTER VASES, 18TH CENTURY
each with underglaze blue, paint and gilt decoration, the two vases with covers decorated with panels of trees and flowers around the main body and shaped cartouches around the shoulder the covers similarly decorated and with knop finials -- 12in. (35cm.) high max.; the vases without covers, one with a continous design of chrysathemum and peony flowers below a lobed underglaze blue border with flower head designs and minature landscapes within cartouches; the other vase scattered across the body with shaped cartouches variously showing flowers and landscape scenes, and textile type floral panels -- 7 1/2in. (19cm.) high max.; an Imari bowl decorated with scrolls surrounded by shaped cartouches showing flower heads interspresed by bamboo, the exterior with shaped catrouches showing scrolls on a ground of fruiting branches, four character underglaze blue mark to base -- 9 1/2in. (24.1cm.) diam.; and a Japanese blue and white print ware bowl, early 20th Century -- 8 1/4in. (21cm.) (6)
