Contemporary sprinkled calf, double gilt fillet round sides (rebacked, slightly rubbed). Provenance: Norwich & Norfolk United Medical Book Society (library stamp on title and the rules of the Society pasted to front pastedown). Second edition. The two plates depict Chapman's forceps made by Thomas Swain in Bedford Street and a pessary. Wellcome II, p.326.

Provenance: Newcastle Infirmary Medical Library (library stamp on title and scattered through the volume). FIRST EDITION of this work based on the author's experiences as physician to the City of London Lying-in Hospital. He also wrote on scurvy. This edition not in Wellcome. (2)
