Half titles, general titles on verso, each volume with additional title (some light and even browning, stronger in first supplement, spotted mainly at beginning and end of each vol.). Contemporary calf-backed cloth, spine decorated and lettered in gilt (most hinges cracked but joints firmly holding, some head of spines chipped, quite rubbed), marbled edges. FIRST COLLECTED EDITION.

LICHTENBERG, Georg Christoph (1742-99). Vermischte Schriften, published posthumously by Ludwig Christian Lichtenberg and Friedrich Kries. Göttingen: Johann Christian Dieterich, [Heinrich Dieterich], 1800-04. Volumes I-VII only (of 9), 8° (161 x 102mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece of the author in vol. I, frontispiece portrait of Copernicus in volume VI, woodcut illustrations (lightly spotted). Contemporary half calf, lettering-pieces (very rubbed). The last volume states that it is the 'seventh and final volume' but a further 2 were published.
