A sandstone figure of Uma
Khmer, Angkor Period, Baphuon Style, 11th century
Very well carved with elegant outline, wearing a finely pleated sampot secured with a belt tied in a knot at the waist, her face with a benign expression with almond shaped eyes beneath gently arched brows and full lips, the hair arranged into a conical headdress secured with a crown incised with a geometric floral pattern
