A Chinese brass tripod censer, Daoguang, dated 1830
with deep rounded sides, applied with a pair of loop handles, supported on three cabriole legs, the exterior decorated with two pairs of confronting archaistic dragons reserved on a leiwen ground, below a dedicatory inscription reading Longxi Yizhuang Daoguang jiu nian yichou qiao yue zhuang zheng jing xian jing zhu ('The Virtuous Village of LongXi Repectfully cast by the prominent and good of the village proper in the seventh month of the ninth year of Daoguang') -- 9 7/16in. (23.9cm.) wide.
