The front decorated with figures, foliage and strapwork around a pair of moulded rectangular panels, the similar sides with iron handles, on later bracket feet, bearing a hand written paper label inside 'Venetian jewel box cypress work and wood- circa 1500- bought by me at Venice October 1861 JM Naesmyth'
