MARK OF SAMUEL WHITFORD, LONDON, 1857,
The dished circular base engraved with gryphon crest, centred by a foliate taperstick, encircled by three fittings, the two receivers modelled as pomegranates, the third being a bell formed as a pear, curved "chair-back" side handles & tucked-in base, 6¼ in. diameter (16 cm.), 18.5 oz.
