AN 'AMARNA' EGYPTIAN BLUE COBRA HEAD
LATE DYNASTY XVIII, CIRCA 1352-1336 B.C.
With hooded eyes, 2¼ in. (5.7 cm.) long; a pair of bronze and alabaster inlaid eyes, Third Intermediate Period/Late Period, 1069-525 B.C., 3 in. (7.5 cm.) long max; a wooden djed-pillar from an openwork piece of furniture, circa 6th-3rd Century B.C., 4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) high; a turquoise glazed composition wedjat-eye amulet, 1 in. (2.5 cm.) long; a turquoise glazed composition upper part of a wadj-column, 1½ in. (4 cm.) high; and a turquoise glazed composition fragmentary figure of Tueris, 2¼ in. (5.6 cm.) high, all circa 6th-3rd Century B.C. (7)

In the collection of the present owner's grandfather, Jakob Koller, who lived in Egypt in the late 19th and early 20th Century.
