Teniers here renders a landscape in the style of Joos de Momper. The style suggests a date in the Brussels period. The support is branded on the reverse with the Antwerp panel maker's mark of Guillam Gabron I (active 1609-1662)

The authenticity of the present lot has been confirmed by Frau M. Klinge after examination of the original. Her certificate, dated 4 October 1995, will be available to the buyer
