Lot Essay

Another version, also dated 1746, and with the same inscription, is in the municipal archives, Haarlem (H. Romers, J. de Beijer, Oeuvre-catalogus, The Hague, 1969, no. 879, illustrated). De Beijer executed two other views of Haarlem on 26 July 1746 (also in the municipal archives, Haarlem), which were engraved by Caspar Philips Jacobsz. (1732-1789).
