A SILVER GILT PAN BOX, PROBABLY INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Of hemispherical form, with hinged domed lid and suspension ring with seven strand chain from which a smaller hemispherical box is attached, decorated to lid and sides with lobed cartouches with repoussé flowers and leaves, the base engraved with a flower with a wavy petal border, the smaller box with petal clasp, both halves with repeating lotus flowers, the top and bottom with gilt copper roundel inside which sits a gilt rosette - 10in. (25.4cm.) long

The Doorn-Koller Collection, formed in the late 19th and early 20th Century.
