A GROUP OF SILVER BELT FITTINGS AND CLASPS, IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Comprising five rectangular belt plaques with pierced and engraved decoration, with raised central section featuring two birds either side of a rose, the border and edge a series of raised points; a matching belt clasp formed of two sections; another belt clasp formed of two circular sections with nielloed star decoration and centre rosette, two smaller triangluar sections either side; and two pierced silver belt sections with open flowers around a central raised rosette design (11)
