An autograph letter, signed, from George Harrison on Royal Station Hotel, York headed stationery, to a fan apologising for her not being given access backstage, explaining ...the police on duty had been given strict orders not to let anybody back stage. Well I did try but sorry again, signing off Cheerio, love from George Harrison 1p., with corresponding envelope addressed in Harrison's hand, frank marked 28 Nov 63; accompanied by a ticket stub for The Beatles Show Saturday, 23rd November, 1963, City Hall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

The vendor of this letter wrote to George and John, care of the City Hall in Newcastle, after she and a friend had qued over night to get tickets for the 23rd November show that was to be held there. She was writing to ask if it was possible to meet the group, unfortunately she did not recievd a reply before the gig. However a few days later the letter in this lot was delivered.
