According to the vendor, this album was presented by John Lennon to the parents of James Hanratty, one of the last men to be hanged in the UK at Bedford prison on 4th April, 1962. At the time the trial was controversial due to conflicting evidence; Hanratty maintained his innocence and his family campaigned for the case to be re-examined. Lennon supported the campaign and visited the Hanratty family at their home in Kingsbury in late 1969, when he gave them this album.
