With Extra gilt-finished highly jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer five minute divisions, gold spade hands, two subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes register and constant seconds, in large plain case, repeating slide in the band, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through two buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Hausmann & Co. was founded in Rome in 1794 by Ernst Hausmann, a young German clockmaker and his friend and partner Hermann Frielingsdorf. The firm is still residing in the same premises in Rome's historical centre and represents the world's most prestigious watch and clock manufacturers.
