The ogee bowl engraved with clasped hands above paired birds perched on hearts, inscribed Freundschaft zu lieben bin ich bereit, Freundschaft zu hatten alle zeit 'i am ready to love friendship, and to have friendship always', the reverse with a fox carrying a fowl below a garland suspended from elaborate foliate scrollwork, on a faceted inverted baluster stem, and conical lens-cut foot
