QIANLONG (1736-95)
Of baluster shape with stylised dragon handles to the neck, the front with a black reserve panel containing a poetic inscription within a gilt metal key-fret border, the body carved in relief with bats amongst cloud scrolls between lappet bands, mounted on a gilt metal backing and a wood stand

Lot Essay

It is very unusual to find lacquer wall vases with inscriptions as with the present lot, they are more frequently found in porcelain.
