A VERY RARE MING IRON-RED AND YELLOW 'PHOENIX' DISH
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1522-1566)

With rounded sides and flaring rim, the yellow glazed dish covered inside and out in an iron-red enamel and further painted in iron-red of darker tone with a long-tailed phoenix in the interior, rising amongst ruyi clouds, similarly painted on the exterior with cloud scrolls
