In Classicizing style, inspired by a Greek original of the 5th century B.C., perhaps depicting Jupiter, the god with a spade-shaped beard of thin wavy locks and an overlapping mustache framing his thin lips, his large lidded eyes unarticulated, his hair bound in a narrow band and falling in a thick mass at the back, three rows of tightly curled ringlets framing his forehead
