Amongst related riding book-jacks, with Egyptian reeded pillars, attributed to Gillow of London and Lancaster is one, bearing the signature of Christopher Wilcock (sold Chirstie's King Street 21 July 1988 lot 153); and another purchased in 1957 for Temple Newsam House, Leeds (see C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, Leeds,1978, no.17)
