A celadon jade model of a magpie, 18th 19th century
the bird carved standing on a gnarled prunus tree bearing buds and blossoms, its head turned towards the back and holding a prunus branch in its beak, the body carved and incised with detailed feathers, the stone of pale celadon tone with russet inclusions -- 4 7/8in. (12.3cm.) wide.
