A blue and white jar, 18th century
the heavily potted jar of ovoid form, surmounted by a short neck with a lipped rim, painted with a register of blossoms with a cash motif in their centre borne on a foliate scroll, framed between upright and pendant lappet borders enclosing whirl, plant motifs and tassels, the neck with two lingzhi fungus sprays, above a narrow cross-hatched border on the shoulder, the base with a later metal mount -- 13 5/8in. (34.6cm.) overall high.
